On 15 July 2025, Comsure Group issued a public apology to Dr Marc André Pépin following a March 2025 article that falsely suggested he was involved in fraud relating to the SPI Investment Fund SPC.
Comsure acknowledged that its wording was inaccurate, accepted that Dr Pépin was never accused of nor convicted of fraud, and recognized the harm caused by the publication. The company has permanently removed the article, notified third parties, and requested Google to remove the link.
Comsure’s CEO, Matthew Beale, extended an unreserved apology to Dr Pépin and confirmed that stricter verification measures will be taken for future publications.
